You can consider yourself very lucky for getting that scholarship. I've seen better flash than that but i've seen worse and I do think you will get much better.

thanks, i noticed the preloader thing after i had pressed submit so ill have it for my next attempt...and a little note to everyone, the competition at that contest wasnt that great. second place was someone who designed a playstation game box, 3rd place was a girl who made letterhead....LETTERHEAD! it was silly and i was just lucky. I only submitted to get some constructive critism, maybe that was a mistake.

As nice as it was, it wasn't a flash movie but .wav .mov and more imported into flash

Get a grip dude... My final output had a freakin .swf extension. If you think all I did was import things into Flash the ur sadly mistaken ...

3. if he seen my other flash he wouldn't say this was the worst he'd seen. 4. I agree that the sound loop can be irritating. I didn't have time to make it an option, the card was late already, and let's see... u seem to have an "artistic mind" as far as i can tell from visiting ur web site.... so the whole reflection of my life shit is something I wouldn't expect coming from you. anyways, I put this flash together in under a day because I just don't have free time spilling outta my ass. yo shouldn't use his back as his front, or at least when he was a silhouette at the end you shouldn't show it's his front. that kinda lowers the quality of the movie

Yeah that scene needed to be fixed but i forgot, and due to lack of time I just used cheap tricks to get the same effects... it works for the most part... but yeah i think that the scene lowers the quality of the movie also... Thanks for the Review!

... a file size for a short movie, try compressing the sound file down next time.

If you had done that, then who knows how to compress it futher for you.

you shouldn't insult people by saying that they never had made any flash, because they can make things and not post it to newgrounds and everybody has an opinion.
the guy is right about the filesize

heh yea, when your dealing with a big song like ol' fortana your gona have a sorta big file size. especially when you add a million lightning sounds!! haha, yes your right though. next time i am going to make it shorter to reduce the file size :)

Ah, yes I'm sure you've seen it somewhere, it really is a pretty common theme. I just used it to experiment with flash. The ending is there, however. He cuts his bonds, and will therefore never be able to move. This way, however, is the only way he can be truly free. That's why he's smiling in the end.
