Just watched it right now. and for the most part I loved it. Saying "from Scratch" is a bit of a stretch considering the main characters consists of a qupee Doll, Poser models and some canned running animations.
Thats said tho, it had incredible visuals and he definitely knows his lighting and angles. I love athe action scenes. (Big fan of action laced with hiphop tracks) and enjoyed all the video game sprite references littered through out.
My only gripes are the passing of the story (which come on there really isnt one) and the long and boring intruductions of the characters in the beginning of the movie, ( a video game throwback I know, but thsi is still a movie and was unnecessary.) and the lame poser animations, which were slow and unappealing.
Still for one person, its ace.
I plan to buy the dvds once I get paid, thanks for posting about this.

Sweet, yeah i watched it a while ago to. Heard about it after the reactions at sundance. The movie is seriously epic and so much detail was put in it that its insande it was made by one man. It was definitely made for the videogame audience . I think the reason why people see it as twisted is because its so out of the norm, and alot of the scenes are like a spaztastic joyride, but hey, its a sundance crowd. Mostly old conservative people watching it and expecting a disney movie. Good work with the subtitles as well man

I really didn't get some peoples reactions at sundance. Specially their facial expressions while trying to explain what they had just seen... :)
almost like they were having a stroke.
